Infor Gets a New Headquarter

One of the major business software developers, Infor Global Solutions has recently opened its new headquarters in New York city. The new office is situated in a city called Heart of New York, Silicon Alley. Silicon Alley is mainly known as a hub for engineering firms, big technology companies, and upcoming tech startups.

“The opening of our new headquarters and reveal of our new brand marks the culmination of a two-year period of significant transformation at Infor”, said Charles Phillips, CEO of Infor. Charles also happens to be the former president of Oracle.

infor-new-headquartersThe new headquarter of Infor is designed by VOA Architechture. The office is designed more like an open place instead of traditional cabins and blocks. This ensures that exchange of views and ideas becomes more frequent in the new headquarters. Initially, the new headquarters will be housing around 75 employees, and the number will increase in the next couple of years.

Infor Global solutions is a private company founded in the United States way back in 2002 under the name of Agilisys. In 2004, the company changed its name to Infor Global Solutions when it acquired Infor Business Solutions.

Today, Infor ranks third among the enterprise application providers in the world. It has over 70,000 customers spread across 194 countries and over 12,400 employees in 160 direct offices. Along with this, Infor also has 1,600 sales and technology partners, offering services in 20 different languages.

Infor provides global supply chain management software to customers across  a wide range of industries including aerospace, chemical, high tech, automotive and industrial equipment. To quote some stats, it is supplier to 19 out of 20 topmost companies in the aerospace sector, 12 out of 13 in the high tech sector, 9 out of 10 in the pharmaceutical sector, and so on.
